The massive Sabakuma broodmother dwells in caverns and tunnels beneath Calypso's deserts. Here she lays her eggs while other Sabakuma feed and protect her.
It is extremely rare that a broodmother leaves her chamber, as her massive size prevents her from moving freely. Within the chamber the Queen is safe from most dangers, including the primary Sabakuma predator, the Longu. There have been cases of Marcimex entering brood chambers to feed, but more often than not they are repelled by the Sabakuma defenders.
